Can we do our perspective presentations manually then enhance them digitally?

No. We are transitioning into the digital platform, so it is best to create a 3D model during the preliminaries, as the finals stage will only allow for minor tweaks.

Are we allowed to customize furniture?

Yes, if you can customize it, and as long as you cost is appropriately in the BOQ/BOM

Is there a minimum/maximum no. of pages for the concept board?

There is no set number of pages, but make sure that you are able to relay your concept concisely and effectively.

For the panoramic view of the 3D presentation, is it only one page?

You may submit multiple 3D renders, but please select the most optimal view for judging purposes.

What should be included / not included in the BOQ?

BOQ should only include construction materials, fabrics, accessories and styling elements used in the design.

Where can we source out materials and furniture?

We will give you a list of our sponsor partner establishments.

Are there specific colors, textures, or lighting considerations that are beneficial for individuals with dementia?

Color psychology and sensory stimulation can significantly impact dementia patients.

How can the design incorporate elements to stimulate cognitive function and memory in dementia patients?

The question encourages designers to think about ways to engage patients through the environment.

How can the design promote social interaction and a sense of community among patients?

Open and inviting common areas with comfortable seating encourage social interaction. Incorporate communal tables for shared activities. Provide opportunities for one-on-one interactions through private nooks or semi-private spaces.

How many people use the space/ how many patients do you have in a day?

The facility conducts counseling sessions and serves a varying number of elderly individuals each day, ranging from 4 to 6 elderly, including 2 staff members (M/F)

Should we include ramps in the design?

Wheelchair ramps are a priority and will be incorporated in areas with significant elevation changes to ensure accessibility for all elderly and residents.

Will safety handrails be installed throughout the facility?

Yes, safety handrails will be strategically placed throughout the facility, including bathrooms, hallways, and common areas. This is to ensure the safety and mobility of our residents.

What is the age bracket of patients?

Will cater for patients of all ages.
